There are plenty cricket grounds in the world where International matches are held. Each and every ground is different as each one of the them have a unique significance. Some ground are really big, while some are small. The difference between cricket and other sports is that their is not fixed dimension of playing field in cricket, while that is the case in other sports,

The retention rules have changes drastically. Following are the change in rules:

• Retention of maximum of six players(RTM card) 
• Auction purse for each team increased to ₹120 crore from ₹100 crore
• A maximum of 5 capped players (Indian or overseas) can be retained 
• Maximum of 2 uncapped players can be retained 
• Indian players who have not played for the country for the past 5 years are consider uncapped. 
• Salary slab for retained uncapped player is ₹4 crore and this shall be deducted from total purse value

IPL 2023 brought in a major twist as the impact player rule was introduced. The rule originated from Big Bash League 2021 and now it is common norm in IPL too. 
Under this rule, a team can play with 12 players instead of 11 and hence it provides a cushion of extra bowler/ batsman. 
this rule has changed the dynamics of the game vastly but has few repercussions too. 
few players are in favour of the rule and few are not. 
players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma etc feel that this is disturbing the true essence of the game. While, players like Saurav Ganguly feel that is evolving the game. Due to such mixed opinions, the board is yet to take a call regarding the continuity of the rule. 

Trent Boult started playing cricket at a young age, he used to practice with his brother. Both of them used to play for the same team in domestic cricket. At junior level, he has played Under 19 World Cup as well.
