Everything about 2025 Champions Trophy- Fixture, Venue, Groups

ICC regularly conducts tournaments at the international level in which best teams participate. In 2025, ICC will conduct Champions Trophy in Pakistan. 
The matches will start from 19th February and the finals will be played on 9th March, 2025. 
Pakistan has shortlisted three venues and all the 15 matches between 8 teams will played there only. These venues are- National Stadium, Karachi, Gaddafi Stadium, Karachi and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. 
The eight teams are divided in the groups of four and the format will be round robin followed by knock outs. 
Overall, it will be exciting half month as best teams in the world will compete against each other.

Sarah took an early retirement as she was suffering from mental health issues. Now, she is associated with various team as a coach. 
She was ICC Women’s cricketer of the year in 2012 , 2013 and 2014. She was also nominated for Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award for ICC Female Cricketer of the decade.

Why is the Champions Trophy called the Mini World Cup?

Champions Trophy, also known as mini World Cup, is one of the four tournaments organised by ICC. It is the next big event that will be conducted by ICC. Pakistan has been picked as the hosts and the matches will start from February 2025. 
Total eight teams will participate and amongst them 15 matches will be played.

India are expected to do well as they will be looking to clinch another ICC title in 2025. 

Champions Trophy is organised in every four years. However, the last edition was held in 2017 where Pakistan won by beating India in the finals in England. 
The 2025 edition will be very exciting as Pakistan will be hosting an ICC tournament after a very long time. All the spectators will be excited to see players in action too.

Anjinkya Rahane: The silent warrior in Indian cricket

Ajinkya Rahane was a right handed top order batsman who played cricket for India from 2011 till 2023. He started his cricket journey in maidans of Mumbai and now he is a regular member in IPL and domestic cricket in India. He led the Ranji Trophy team in 2023 season as well. 
In total he has played 195 matches for India, scoring 8414 runs with an average of 35.95. 
He relied greatly on timing in batting was one of the most agile fielders. He used to take sharp catches and was slip fielder in Indian team. His reaction time was very less and that helped him a lot in taking some really stunning catches. 
He played his last test match in 2023 which was the final of World Test Champions. Since then he has not played a match for India.

Speedster- Ishant Sharma

Ishant Sharma is lovingly called as ‘Lambu’ by his teammates because of his height and built. He was a right arm pacer who played international cricket for nearly 14 years. He was in squad that won 2013 Champions Trophy. 
Sharma played domestic cricket for Delhi and used train under Mr. Shravan Kumar at Rohtak Road Gymkhana. Along with that, Mr. Rajkumar Sharma, who was also Virat Kohli’s coach, helped Sharma in improving his skill. 
Presently, Ishant is playing IPL for Delhi Capitals. He is also playing Delhi Premier League for Purani Dilli 6.
