The auction day for IPL and WPL are quite fascinating. They literally change the fate of players overnight. While old players are dropped, new faces are picked to showcase their talent at the highest platform. For instance, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player to play Ranji Trophy, was picked by Rajasthan Royals in the 2025 auction. A lot of teams were interested in picking her because she is a complete all rounder, she brings a lot to the table with her exceptional batting, bowling and fielding skills. Nat Sciver Brunt INR 3.20 Crore

Brunt was picked by Mumbai Indians in 2023 and since then she has been the backbone of both batting and bowling department. In WPL, she has scored 504 runs and taken 20 wickets and has registered three fifties by her name. Apart from WPL, she features in WBBL and The Hundred as well. Hence, she holds tremendous exposure in franchise cricket.

Deepti Sharma INR 2.60 Crore

Deepti Sharma is an all rounder from India who can bowl those clinical overs and score plenty runs down the order. She was bought by UP Warriors in the 2023 edition and since then she has been a crucial member of their squad. She holds vast experience as she has already played 171 international matches across all the formats, scoring 2,957 runs and taking 196 wickets.

Jemimah Rodrigues INR 2.20 Crore

Jemi aka Jemimah Rodrigues is a young gun from India. She made her international debut when she was 18 and since then she has been a core member of the Indian dressing room. She is a handy batsman, who knows how to manipulate the field and that has always helped her in scoring runs in the shortest format. Along with that, she is also an athletic fielder. Both these factors combined make her a highly rated cricketer.

The auction for WPL 2025 ended on 15th December, 2024 and many interesting bids were seen there as well. Many new faces were picked and many old players were dropped. Like, Simran Shaik, power hitter from Mumbai was bought for INR 1.8 Crores. Similarly, many new, young and talented players will be getting a chance to play amongst the finest cricketers of the world.
