List of captains of Women’s Indian Cricket Team
The Indian women’s cricket team is as strong as the men's team and holds the same reputation in global cricket. During the initial years, the team didn’t have many notable match winners. But now, as the sport has grown in the country, the women's team is soaring high with their performances. They are doing well in bilateral series and are fighting head to head with the best cricketing nations- Australia, England. However, the team hasn’t lifted any ICC trophy yet. The closest they went was in 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup and 2017 Women’s World Cup. On both the occasions they were runner up as they lost the finals against Australia and England respectively.
The credit of the growth of women’s cricket in India has to go to the elite players who worked hard through so many years. A huge role goes to all the skippers who consciously inculcated the right mindset in the dressing room.
Today, in this article by ZAP cricket we will share the list of all the captains of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team in all the three formats.
