Rashid Khan made his T20I debut for the Afghanistan team just a couple of days after his ODI debut on October 26, 2015 against Zimbabwe. In March 2017, during a T20I match against Ireland, Rashid took a historic five-wicket haul, securing the best bowling performance by an Afghan cricketer in a T20I. His figures of five wickets for three runs were not only the best by an Afghan but also the joint fourth-best in all T20Is. Rashid continued to make headlines with his remarkable performances. Rashid Khan made his debut against India in June 2018 in the playing 11 in Afghanistan's first ever Test match. Rashid Khan made his IPL debut in 2017 with Sunrisers Hyderabad when they bought him for a price of Rs. 4 Crores, becoming one of the first Afghan players in the league. In his debut season in 2017, he impressed by finishing as the sixth-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets from 14 matches. He established himself as one of the most potent spinners in the tournament. His ability to bamboozle batsmen with his variations, especially his Googly Spin bowling variation, and deliver crucial breakthroughs made him a game-changer.
