Early Life and Rise to Prominence:

Sandeep's cricketing journey began at a tender age, and his talent quickly became evident. At the Under 19 World Cup in 2016, he was the front runner in the wicket-takers list and carried the Nepalese bowling lineup picking up 14 wickets in just 6 matches. This exceptional performance even included a hattrick and a five-wicket haul against Ireland.

Lamichhane's bowling technique has frequently been contrasted with that of his hero, the legendary Shane Warne. Due to this similarity, he is often affectionately called the Nepalese Warne, and this indeed has boosted people's expectations of him.

Global Exposure and International Success:

Nepalese Warne has had a meteoric rise in his career because of his talent and consistent performances with the ball. Delhi Capitals picked him up for the IPL when he was just 17. He became the first Nepal player to participate in the prestigious tournament, which instantly catapulted him into the limelight. There was no stopping from here.

He continued to impress and perform exceptionally for his national team on the international stage as well. He was named the Player of the Tournament in the 2018 World Cricket League Division Two after picking up 17 wickets in just 6 matches, helping Nepal qualify for the World Cup for the first time ever.

Playing Style and Rise to Dominance:

Lamichhane has established himself as a fearsome opponent for batsmen thanks to his deceptive variations, accuracy, and capacity to draw turn from any surface. Regardless of the format or level of play, his abilities have constantly allowed him to dominate the game. Over the years, he has developed in all aspects of the game, from just a leg break maestro to an all rounder. His contributions with the bat coming lower down the middle order have hugely benefited every team he’s played in.
