Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) put up an exceptional batting show, scoring a huge total of 277 runs in 20 overs, the highest score in IPL history, against Mumbai Indians (MI). Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen went all guns blazing and pelted the MI bowlers all around the ground. MI won the toss and chose to field first. Travis Head started off strongly, reaching his fifty in just 18 balls and eventually scoring 62 runs off 24 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes. Abhishek Sharma followed suit, hitting a quick fifty in 16 balls and making 63 runs off 23 balls, including 3 fours and 7 sixes. Heinrich Klaasen then took charge, smashing 80 runs off 34 balls with 4 fours and 7 sixes, while Aiden Markram played a steady innings, contributing 42 runs and partnering with Klaasen for a crucial 116-run stand.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 272/7 vs Delhi Capitals

Gautam Gambhir returned to the Kolkata Knight Riders as their coach and the KKR team started playing their hard hitting style of cricket again. Sunil Narine, known for his insane pinch hitting ability, was promoted to open the batting for the 2024 IPL edition. In the KKR vs Delhi Capitals match, this move worked wonders for them, and Sunil Narine became a menace with the bat, scoring a blazing fast 85 of 39 deliveries. In the 2013 IPL, Universe Boss Chris Gayle brought a Gayle Storm to the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and showed the highest level of clean power hitting. and. Supporting Gayle's blitzkrieg was AB de Villiers, who chipped in with a quickfire cameo of 31 runs off 8 balls. Their partnership propelled RCB to their highest score in IPL history, 263 runs in 20 overs. PWI, on the receiving end, could only manage to score 133 for 9 in their 20 overs, falling short by a whopping 130 runs.

In the clash between the Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings during the 2023 IPL, LSG turned the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the home ground of Punjab, into their own batting paradise. Led by Kyle Mayers' explosive start, they set the stage on fire with a rapid-fire 257/5 in their 20 overs, the highest score in IPL 2023. Mayers' blasted 54 runs off 24 balls, followed by Marcus Stoinis' power-packed 72 off 40 deliveries. Nicholas Pooran then joined the party with a whirlwind cameo, adding a quickfire 45 off just 19 balls. In response, Punjab’s effort to score 201 runs wasn’t enough and they lost the match by 56 runs.

2016 IPL can only be remembered for one player, and that is Virat Kohli. On the peak form of his career, Virat Kohli had already smashed 2 centuries in that season of the IPL, but carrying RCB’s pursuit of the IPL trophy, he had to keep going. Chennai Super Kings had an inconsistent start to the 2010 IPL season, but on one match day, Murali Vijay made everything look very easy with the bat. In the match between Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royal, Murali Vijay smashed an explosive 127 runs off just 56 deliveries. When Mumbai Indians, under captain Hardik Pandya, got hit for 277 runs by the Sunrisers Hyderabad during 2024 IPL season, they showed that they'd be down, but never out. In in the 2018 IPL clash between KKR and KXIP, Kolkata Knight Riders smashed a big total of 245/6 against Kings XI Punjab. Sunil Narine scored 75 runs quickly in just 36 balls, and Dinesh Karthik made a quickfire 50 runs in just 23 balls. This made KKR's total the eighth-highest ever in IPL history.
