Sawai Mansingh Stadium: The heart of Pink city

Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural IPL title under Shane Warne in 2008 and have remained closely associated with Jaipur and Sawai Mansingh Stadium as a home venue. This article focuses on the stadium's history, facilities, pitch tendencies and international records.

Last updated: October 7, 2026

The ground was built during the reign of Sawai Man Singh II and hence was named after him. The IPL venue directory lists Sawai Mansingh Stadium at a capacity of about 23,400 spectators and the end names are Van Vihar Colony End and Garh Ganesh Temple End.

The ground was established in 1969 and since then it has hosted plenty of international matches.
